“The red couch – my rules”
The sun shone through the large windows of the new apartment as Mia looked at the red couch. Deep red velvet, curved lines – it was the centerpiece of her new home. She had discovered it in the department store and immediately fell in love. It was more than just a piece of furniture, it was a symbol of a new beginning. Mia’s old apartment had never given her the sense of freedom she was looking for. But now, single and ready for adventure, she was determined to live life on her own terms.
The movers had just delivered the couch, and the room suddenly didn’t feel empty anymore. Mia was only wearing a loose, half-open blouse that fell gently over her shoulders. Underneath – nothing. She loved the feeling of freedom that her new apartment gave her. She walked barefoot across the cool wooden floor, then dropped onto the couch and stretched out her legs. The cool fabric felt heavenly against her bare skin and she savored the moment.
She stood up, opened one of the boxes and pulled out her new set of black lingerie. Lace and silk, sensual and classy. Perfect for this moment that was supposed to be hers alone. Just as she was about to take off the blouse, there was a sudden knock at the door. Mia paused and frowned. Who could it be? With a small smile, she pulled the blouse back up a little – enough to still be covered, but loose enough to emphasize her freedom of movement. “It’s my apartment,” she murmured, “I can do whatever I want here.” She went to the door and opened it.
In front of her stood Mr. Wagner, her landlord. Tall, well-groomed, with a hint of a smile around the corners of his mouth that made him look younger. His eyes wandered briefly over her casual outfit before he politely cleared his throat. “Sorry to bother you, Miss Mia,” he said in his deep voice. “I just wanted to check that everything is in order. Did the movers deliver your couch okay?”
Mia leaned casually against the doorframe and smiled. “Everything’s fine, thank you. Would you like to see it?”
Mr. Wagner hesitated for a moment, then stepped inside. His gaze lingered on the red couch. “An impressive piece,” he remarked. “You have excellent taste.”
“Thank you.” Mia walked to the couch, sat down on it and stretched out her legs. Her blouse slipped a little over her shoulder, but she made no effort to straighten it. “Just a moment, Mr. Wagner. I’ll just put something on. Make yourself comfortable.”
Without waiting for an answer, Mia disappeared into the bedroom. She left the door ajar and could feel Mr. Wagner listening curiously. Instead of her blouse, she slipped into her lingerie.
The lace clung perfectly to her curves and she looked at herself briefly in the mirror, a mischievous smile playing around her lips.
When she stepped back into the living room, Mr. Wagner’s breath caught. He was still sitting in the cardboard armchair, but his posture was no longer so relaxed. His gaze wandered over her body before he hastily tried to regain his composure. “It’s much more comfortable this way,” Mia said innocently as she slowly walked over to the couch and sat down. She crossed her legs loosely and ran her fingers over the red velvet. “That blouse was so… boring.”
“Uh, yes… of course,” mumbled Mr. Wagner, his voice a little brittle.
Mia leaned back, her eyes glittering challengingly. “You know, Mr. Wagner, I make the rules in my apartment.”
He raised an eyebrow, but his smile remained polite. “That’s your right.”
“Today that means,” she continued, “that you can only look at me.” Her voice was calm, but there was a hint of provocation in it. “And tomorrow I’ll show you my new little white dress… or you can think of something. I’m a size 36.”
Mr. Wagner seemed speechless before a warm smile lit up his features. “That sounds like an interesting challenge.”
Mia returned his smile, her eyes twinkling with delight. “I’m sure you’ll find something suitable.”
The two were silent for a moment, and the tension in the room was almost palpable. Finally, Mr. Wagner slowly stood up, straightened his suit and looked at her with a twinkle in his eye.
“Then I look forward to tomorrow, Miss Mia,” he said before heading for the door.
“Me too, Mr. Wagner,” Mia replied quietly as she leaned back comfortably on the red couch. She heard the door slam shut and allowed a satisfied smile as she thought about the next day. The perfect start to a new life – full of possibilities, full of adventure.
